Documentation and digitization of greek embroidery patterns.
The purpose of the website is the digitization of Greek traditional embroidery designs. These designs have been gathered from different and diverse sources and have been processed with the aim of obtaining a unified form, suitable to be studied as elements of the Greek folk tradition or even be transferred onto fabric.
The designs have been sourced from books, museum material, as well as embroideries that have already been photographed previously. There were then rendered in digital form.
